Revelation 22

The vision reaches its climax: “the river of the water of life,” and “the tree of life,” whose leaves are “for the healing of the nations.” “No longer will there be anything accursed,” for “the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. They will see his face,” and “they will reign forever and ever.” Jesus repeatedly promises, “Behold, I am coming soon,” and identifies Himself as “the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end... the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come,” and the invitation goes out to all who are thirsty: “let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” The book — and the whole Bible — closes with a final promise and prayer: “Surely I am coming soon. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.”
