Psalms 28

David; lamentA cry to his rock not to be silent, with thanksgiving for being heard.

David cries to the LORD his rock not to remain silent, lest he be like those who go down to the pit, and asks that the wicked be repaid. The prayer turns to thanksgiving: “the LORD has heard the voice of my pleas,” and He is the strength and shepherd of His people.
