Psalms 119

The longest psalm, an elaborate acrostic of 176 verses, every section devoted to the excellence of God’s Word under many names — law, testimonies, precepts, statutes, commandments. It is a sustained meditation and prayer expressing love for Scripture: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path,” and “How sweet are your words to my taste.”
