Proverbs study chapter

Proverbs 27

friendship and diligence“Iron sharpens iron,” the faithful wounds of a friend, and knowing the state of your flocks.

The chapter treasures friendship and honesty: “faithful are the wounds of a friend,” “iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another,” and “let another praise you, and not your own mouth.” It also commends diligent attention to one’s responsibilities — “know well the condition of your flocks” — since riches do not last forever.
