Proverbs study chapter

Proverbs 25

proverbs copied by Hezekiah’s menWise words in season, restraint before kings, and kindness to enemies.

A new collection, “proverbs of Solomon that the men of Hezekiah... copied,” opens with the glory of God in concealing and kings in searching things out. Its images are memorable: “a word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver,” restraint and patience with rulers and neighbors, and heaping coals by kindness to an enemy.
