Proverbs 12

words and workThe truthful tongue endures, the diligent prosper, and the righteous care even for their animals.

These sayings contrast the fruit of the righteous and the wicked in speech and work. The diligent will rule while the slothful is put to forced labor, the truthful tongue endures forever, and “whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast” — wisdom touching even the treatment of animals.
