Philippians 4

Paul urges Euodia and Syntyche to “agree in the Lord,” and calls the whole church to joy, gentleness, and peace: “Rejoice in the Lord always.” “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God,” and “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” He tells them to fill their minds with whatever is “true... honorable... just... pure... lovely.” He testifies that he has “learned in whatever situation I am to be content,” through “him who strengthens me,” and warmly thanks them for their gift, promising, “my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” He closes with greetings, even from “those of Caesar’s household,” and a benediction of grace.
