Mark 6

Jesus is rejected in His hometown of Nazareth, where their unbelief limits His mighty works. He sends out the Twelve two by two with authority over unclean spirits. Mark then recounts how Herod had beheaded John the Baptist to satisfy a rash oath. When the apostles return, Jesus feeds five thousand from five loaves and two fish, and afterward comes to the struggling disciples walking on the sea, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
