Joshua study chapter

Joshua 5

c. 1406 BCThe new generation is circumcised and keeps the Passover; the manna ceases, and Joshua meets the commander of the LORD’s army.

The kings of Canaan lose heart at the crossing. Israel’s new generation, uncircumcised in the wilderness, is circumcised at Gilgal, and they keep the Passover; the next day the manna ceases and they eat the produce of the land. Then Joshua meets a man with a drawn sword, the commander of the army of the LORD, who tells him to remove his sandals, for the place is holy.
