Now old, Joshua is told there remains much land yet to be possessed, especially along the coast. The LORD directs the division of the whole land as an inheritance, and the chapter records the portions Moses had already given the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half of Manasseh east of the Jordan, noting that Levi received no land but the LORD Himself.
