Jeremiah study chapter

Jeremiah 48

c. 605 BCAn oracle against Moab and its pride.

A long oracle laments and pronounces judgment on Moab for its pride, complacency, and trust in its own achievements and gods. Moab, “at ease from his youth,” will be shattered and made a laughingstock, yet the LORD says He will “restore the fortunes of Moab in the latter days.”
