Jeremiah 45

c. 605 BCA word of comfort and warning to Baruch the scribe.

A brief, personal word is given to Baruch, who had grieved under the weight of his task. God acknowledges his sorrow but tells him not to seek great things for himself in a day of judgment, promising that his life will be spared “as a prize of war” wherever he goes.
