Isaiah study chapter

Isaiah 21

c. 715 BCOracles against Babylon (“fallen, fallen is Babylon”), Edom, and Arabia.

A grim oracle foresees the fall of Babylon — “Fallen, fallen is Babylon; and all the carved images of her gods he has shattered” — leaving the prophet trembling. Briefer oracles follow against Edom (Dumah), where a watchman is asked, “what time of the night?”, and against Arabia, whose glory will soon come to an end.
