Twenty-five years into the exile, Ezekiel is transported in a vision to a very high mountain and shown a new temple, where a man with a measuring reed leads him through the outer wall, the gates, and the courts, measuring each with precise dimensions. The vision presents an ordered, holy space, the dwelling of God perfectly measured out.
