Ezekiel study chapter

Ezekiel 33

586 BCEzekiel reaffirmed as watchman, and news arrives that Jerusalem has fallen.

With the oracles against the nations finished, God reappoints Ezekiel as watchman, restating that he must warn the wicked and that each person is responsible to turn and live, for “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked.” Then a fugitive arrives with the momentous news, “The city has fallen,” and Ezekiel’s ministry pivots from warning to hope, though the survivors’ hearts still cling to sin.
