Daniel study chapter

Daniel 11

c. 536 BCA detailed prophecy of the wars of coming kings of the north and south.

A remarkably detailed prophecy traces the wars and intrigues of coming “kings of the south” (Egypt) and “kings of the north” (Syria), fulfilled with striking accuracy in the Hellenistic period, and focusing on a “contemptible” king who desecrates the sanctuary and persecutes God’s people. The wise will resist and suffer, some falling to be refined, until “the time of the end,” when this arrogant king comes to his end with none to help him.
