Amos 9

In a final vision Amos sees the Lord standing beside the altar, commanding judgment from which no one can escape — not in the depths, the heavens, the sea, or captivity. Yet the book closes with radiant hope: God will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, but will “raise up the booth of David that is fallen,” rebuild it, gather in the nations called by His name, and plant His people in their land, “never again to be uprooted.” Judgment gives way to a restoration fulfilled in Christ.
