2 Kings study chapter

2 Kings 19

701 BCHezekiah prays, Isaiah promises deliverance, and the angel of the LORD strikes down the Assyrian army.

Hezekiah tears his clothes and goes to the temple, sending to the prophet Isaiah, who promises that the LORD will defend the city. When Sennacherib sends a blasphemous letter, Hezekiah spreads it before the LORD and prays that God would save them so that all the earth may know He alone is God. That night the angel of the LORD strikes down 185,000 Assyrians, and Sennacherib withdraws and is later murdered by his own sons.
