2 Chronicles study chapter

2 Chronicles 26

c. 750 BCUzziah grows great by seeking God but is struck with leprosy for his proud intrusion.

Uzziah begins well, and “as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper,” so that he grows famous and mighty in war, building, and agriculture. But when he is strong, his heart grows proud; he presumptuously enters the temple to burn incense, a priestly act, and when the priests resist, leprosy breaks out on his forehead, and he lives as a leper, cut off from the temple, until his death.
