The organization extends to the nation’s civil and military life: twelve monthly divisions of the army, the leaders of the tribes, the overseers of the king’s fields, flocks, and treasuries, and David’s chief counselors. The Chronicler presents a kingdom well-ordered under God, worship and governance alike arranged for the good of the people.
